I bought MacBook Pro from Amazon about three weeks ago. After two weeks, the MacBook display distorted and the resolution will fade in and out when I moved the screen up and down. I took to an Apple Store and the tech advised me that the computer was faulty (a question of wiring) and I must go back to Amazon ….. I contacted Amazon and within 24 hours I had a new MacBook Pro in her lap and instructions to return the defective. I love the Mac, and I like Amazon's customer service more problems!

I had this netbook for 2 weeks before it stopped booting. Froze page BIOS and did not find the boot sector of the operating system. Whether or not there was a loose connector on the hard disk. I called Acer tech support, but they told me to restore from recovery CD. I explained that since this was a Netbook that no optical drive included with the system. She told me to start the recovery partition, even after I explained that the system does not recognize the hard drive. Ultimately, he offered to send me netbooks in Texas for repair, but I refused. Since it was within the 30-day warranty through the J & R I returned the machine for a full refund, rather than risk something goes wrong.

I have owned a HP 2133 Mininote and ASUS 1000H, but the Acer 1410 seems to be the perfect solution Netbook. Unit size is much larger than 10.2 "netbooks, but with high resolution 11.6" screen is a pleasure to use for 50 + eyes. Power Core 2 Solo is much better than the atom is only a slight reduction in battery life. Battery life is even better (8 hours instead of 6 hours), 5600 amps when the battery is available in North America as in Europe. 1410 is thinner than one of my other Netbooks and weight about the same.
